Letecká společnost má velice zajímavou, neobvyklou historii:
Založena pod názvem GROMOV AIR stejnojmenným světoznámým Zkušebním a výzkumným leteckým institutem M.M. Gromova v roce 1995.
V době, kdy Jelcinova vláda vedla Rusko do deprese. Institut neměl žádné zakázky na výzkum či zkoušky. Přední piloti, palubní i pozemní mechanici neměli práci ani prostředky k obživě, mezi nimi hrdinové SSSR, hrdinové Ruska, zasloužilí zkušební piloti - výkvět ruských leteckých odborníků!
V nové letecké společnosti získalo práci na 200 z nich.
Jméno GROMOV bylo známé spíše jenom odborníkům a fandům letectví a proto byla letecká společnost v r. 2008 přejmenována na populární výraz MOSKOVIA.

Letecká společnost začala 22.12.2013 létat do Prahy na lince Belgorod - Praha 1x týdně.
Belgorod je relativně malé ruské město, hlavní město oblasti, cca 80 km severně od ukrajinského, mnohem většího Charkova.

Na prvním letu do Prahy přiletěl letoun, který byl dodán leteckým společnostem jako druhý v pořadí. (První dodán spol. ARMAVIA, tento jako první ruské letecké spol. Aeroflot. Ta ho v srpnu 2013 převedla Moskovii, takže nedošlo k přeregistrování).
U Aeroflotu měl letoun jméno "M. Vodopyanov".
Nyní nese jméno VALENTIN VASIN, což byl hrdina Sovětského svazu, zasloužilý zkušební pilot.
Jako první sovětský občan překonal rychlost Mach 2 a dosáhl výšky 25 km 600 m.

Moskovia started reg. fls. to PRG (once weekly) on 22nd Dec 2013. From BELGOROD, relatively small town near Russian/Ukrainian border, less than 100 kms north (NEN) of much bigger Ukrainian town of Kharkiv.

The fifth one is taken with another digital camera (Fuji, using Fujicolour setting) than the 1st four photos (Canon).
This SSJ is the second ever delivered (after the 1st one to Armavia), the first delivered to a Russian airline = Aeroflot.
In August 2013, Aeroflot handed over this aircraft to MOSKOVIA, thus no re-registering was needed.
The aircraft got also another name than assigned by Aeroflot VALENTIN VASIN = Hero of the USSR, test pilot, who as the first Sovietman exceeded Mach 2 and attained 25,6 kms height.
It was very difficult, time consuming task to find files for the proper man named Valentin Vasin. Google search engine in English gave me no proper Valentin Vasin...
Only after trying to "Google" the name directly in Cyrillic, I found proper pages, available in Russian only.
I made computer translation using automated translator.
The automated translation is so wrong, as then I manually translated many, many words into proper English and Czech languages.

Later, I opened Moskovia Airlines www.page, available in Russian only ! There is a history, again translated by google translator and corrected by myself. I kept there the name "Muscovy" as a translation of "Moskovia" !
